Thanks to your support we’ve been able to fund and support numerous projects since 2002.

OUR IMPACT OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS.

FUNDING UNIVERSITY FEES

Mzyi at University

The three oldest children in Funsani Home recently graduated from secondary school and are currently studying towards university degrees, something that may have been unthinkable when they entered the home as young children.

Funsani has continued to support the children as they pursue their university studies, as we believe high-quality education is vital to escaping the poverty trap. In this way we hope the children will be able to make a positive impact on Zambian society and be in a position to help other vulnerable and disadvantaged children as they grow up.

HOW YOU CAN HELP.

We're a charity and we rely on donations. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supports us financially and we want you to feel confident that we’re spending your money wisely. Thanks to your support we’ve been able to fund and support numerous projects since 2002.

A little goes a long way and thanks to your support, everyone at Funsani Home is well-fed, wears good quality clothes which have mostly been donated by people in the United Kingdom, and have access to books, board games, and television. Everything used in the home is bought in bulk, including food, toiletries, and other essentials. No one at the home worries where their next meal is coming from, which allows them to concentrate on their schoolwork and enjoy their youth.

We use your donations to continue to support our youngsters as they pursue their further education by funding their university studies. We believe high-quality education is vital to escaping the poverty cycle to live a healthy, productive life. We hope the children raised at Funsani Home will be able to make a positive impact on Zambian society and be in a position to help other vulnerable and disadvantaged children as they grow up.

In addition, money donated by our supporters allows us to fund and support various projects in the wider community that help those affected by HIV.

HIV is still prevalent throughout Zambia, with 1.2m people (11.3%) living with HIV (UNAIDS, 2018), and there are more children needing proper education, support and care, so there is still more work to be done. Become a Friend of Funsani and offer your help! We collect books, clothes, toys and medical supplies as well as monetary donations. We encourage visits to Funsani Home where you will gain firsthand experience of our work and meet the incredible people there.

Whatever your strengths, share them with us and let us make this world a better place.
